MAPS: Support SVG-Embedded Images for amazing backgrounds
Currently there is SVG-Limitation (http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/SVG_Limitations) - Warlight doesn't support embedded JPG/PNG's onto maps.
Implementing this would allow map developers to embed beautiful backgrounds for their maps (while territories and bonuses would be created current vector shapes).
Map backgrounds created this way could decrease size of many maps, since JPG compression can be very effective.

Soon, you will understand that this is the only way to go. People want maps that look good and entertain the mind. At least me, and everyone I know anyway..

SVG is a much lighter format then JPG/PNG. this update would not decrease size of maps, it would increase it!
Also, vector graphics are scalable without loss of resolution, image files are not. so in these new maps with embedded JPG/PNG when you zoomed in you would end up with huge ugly pixels instead of smooth borders.
Sorry Smok but i think this is a very bad idea for a new feature.
