  1. Peace Treaties

    This setting will allow warlite to enforce peace treaties. Peace treaties can either be set for a certain amount of turns or be broken after giving notice. A treaty will be the equivalent of a diplomacy card. If both players acquiesce, it can be canceled early (example: one guy accidentally has 1 spot in the other guys bonus so they cancel peace he takes spot and then they remake peace).       Hi all,

      Thanks for the suggestion. Enforced peace treaties is a great feature for FFAs and diplomacy games. This is definitely something we’d love to add at some point in the future, but it’s not on our immediate roadmap.

    • Able to see who is online

      I never know who is online until they join my game. It would be nice to see who is online so you can invite them to a game right away instead of waiting for random people to join.

        Hi all,

        We agree this is a great idea. It would be awesome if the game can show you who is online and let you just click on them to invite them to a game or chat. This is certainly something we’d like to add some day, but it’s not on our immediate roadmap.

          Hi all,

          We would certainly like WarLight to run on all phones. However, making an app for a phone is a huge amount of work (the iOS and Android version took over 2 years). We have to weigh the amount of work against the benefit, and right now it’s not sufficient to warrant devoting so much time to the Windows Phone.

          We will keep this item open and continue to re-evaluate in the future to see if the landscape changes. Thanks for the suggestion.

        • Teammate takes over for booted/surrendered player

          The booted/surrendered players army will not being combined into teammate's army, but will be controlled separately by the teammate. Player will have to execute moves for two armies in the allowed time.

            Teammates leaving a game is certainly frustrating. Allowing another teammate to enter orders for them is definitely a possible way to address that problem.

            We could use some feedback on the following potential issues with this feature:

            1. In teams of more than 2 players, who gets control of a player that’s left? Just first to click the button, or assign a team captain or something?
            2. Could this slow down real time games? Imagine if one person has to enter orders for 3 teammates that have left plus themselves.
            3. Would this encourage someone to boot their teammates, just to take control over them?
            4. It needs to be very clear who is playing who for every turn. If someone that’s under control starts sabotaging their team, like gifting stuff to an enemy or attacking teammates, it needs to be clear it isn’t really them and you shouldn’t necessarily…

          • Add a "friends list" subset to the invite list

            After playing many games here, the invite list gets cumbersome. It would be nice to have a smaller list for people I really enjoyed playing with.

              Make clans more fun!

              1. Allow name changes.
              2. Have clan levels. Based on the same things as normal levels, but maybe times them by ten or something? Make it one coin for level one, 1+2 coins to level two (and so on) for the founder, and some other kind of reward for the average member.
              3. Allow splits of manager rights:

              FOUNDER LEVEL

              For the founder only, cannot be booted. Can do everything that current people can do, and cannot be booted ever, by anyone.

              STANDARD LEVEL

              Same as current manager rights.

              RECRUITMENT LEVEL

              Can only recruit and change…

                Thanks for the suggestion. Clan manager tiers is certainly something we’d like to add some day, but it’s not on our immediate roadmap.

                Clan name changes will probably never be allowed, as the clan’s name is its identity and changing the name is akin to making a new clan entirely.

              • Deployment Limits: a Tactical Option (esp. for Multi-Attack Games)

                This is a simple idea which makes games really interesting, and it has the bonus of being (probably) incredibly easy to implement.

                It's simple: a deployment limit states that, on any given turn, no player may issue a Deploy order of more than X armies. (I like 10 armies, myself, so if it can't be adjustable, 10 would work well.)

                In other words, you cannot deploy more than X armies to any given territory on any given turn.

                This makes Multi-Attack games a lot more fun, and feels, in practice, very much like Local Deployment, except that you don't have…

                • One-way connections

                  I'd like to be able to design a map with the possibility of one-way connections between territories (e.g. Territory A can attack Territory B, but Territory B can't attack Territory A). I've modelled maps on a chess game and a transport system, and both have connections like this which I could't recreate. I think it would open up another tactical level of play, and some interesting possibilities for future maps.

                    Hi all,

                    I can certainly see the appeal of one-way connections. However, honestly, I think they create more complexity than we want. WarLight, at its core, is a simple strategy game and we want to keep it simple for newcomers to learn.

                    Therefore, it’s unlikely this will get added unless it receives a ton of demand.

                  • Multi-attack card

                    Same as in multi-attack enabled game - the difference is with this card you can make only ONE multi-attack.This card could simulate Blitzkrieg: almost all of my armies (infantry) move with steady pace (1 territory/turn) but from time to time I can use my tanks to attack with the speed of 1,2,3 territories/turn; depending on how many multi-attack cards I have saved.

                      The multi-attack card is an interesting idea. This is something we will consider adding at some point in the future, but it is a low priority.

                    • Vacations by number of days instead of number of vacations

                      In the current system, a maximum of 5 vacations are allowed; whilst this is, of course, better than none - it DOES lead to unfairness and difficulties.
                      For example, under the current system one person could get 50 days of vacation (using the maximum) whereas another (using the minimum lengths) could only get 5. Furthermore, if someone is away often for say, 3 days, they are at a disadvantage compared to someone who is away rarely but for a while.

                      So, I propose the following: instead of a maximum NUMBER of vacations, I propose a cap on the number of…

                        I agree this is a good idea. However, it’s a very low priority feature compared to many others on this forum, and it’s unlikely to happen in the near future.

                      • Randomize Teams in a Tournament

                        With a group of friends who play tournaments among themselves, it would be great to allow everyone to join the tournament and then randomly put everyone into teams.

                        • Triggers for custom scenarios

                          Triggers for custom scenarios allow creators of scenarios to implement some basic triggers.

                          For example:

                          for an event (player captures region, number of turn, each second turn, ...)

                          under the condition (player is alive and playing, number of armies controlled by player is smaller/bigger, ...)

                          make an action(player gets bonus armies next turn, territory changes owner, player wins game, ....)

                          This would be an really great feature for custom scenarios and RPG maps. I would just like to know if it would be possible and if you would think about implementing it.

                          • "Clan Tab" in the "Select Players" and "Add or Remove Players" menus

                            To create internal clan games, it would be easier if you could directly invite your clan members in the invitation menus.

                            If you're in a bigger clan and you don't want to add all 100 members to your friends list, you have to invite every single players laboriously by using the "search" tab. A new invitation tab which shows only your clan members, similar to the friends tab, but maybe with filter options like "rank" or "level" would be the ideal solution.

                            • Auto-deployment in one territory bonuses when playing in 'local deployments'

                              WarLight has many great one territory/bonus maps which every territory is a bonus itself(see; "World Nations 2012", "European Nations" etc.) however when playing on these maps with "local deployments" on, it doesn't auto-deploy to territories their respective bonus values even thought there's no alternative.

                              This can be extremely frustrating especially on late games where a player has many territories and has to waste minutes only to deploy all of his/her armies to each territory individually to continue playing.

                              'Local Deployments' should auto-deploy on one territory/bonus provinces and skip to the attack/transfer phase if there's no more armies to be deployed(base…

                                    Hi, I have an idea that i think can provide for quality of play. To have notepads to make notes on Games that are Multi-day. Because is too easy to forget playing multiple multiday games what were the plans you had in your head in the beggining of the game.

                                      Clan Manager -> Founder of the Clan.

                                      Add one more sub-type to all the members ; "Class". In other words a Member has two sub-types ("Title" and "Class"). "Class" works as a Variable and is optional to use for the clan.By standard this could just be "Class", and if you need to seperate it you do it manually. (As with titles) Option for Visible [On] or [Off] on Clan-page.

                                      Add Sub-Manager. He basically has same authority as the Clan Manager by standard. Add/Remove members. Set titles and classes. Cannot remove another Sub-manager nor the Manager (Founder).

                                          I want chatrooms where we can message each other. This feature would be great for clans and non clans alike, and it would be a great way to chat and arrange real time games with other players.
