Save boot settings in Personalized templates.
Personalized templates save users the trouble of creating games, but boot settings are not currently saved, a minor hassle for users who prefer custom settings.
3 votesYour boot settings now save in templates, so when creating a game off of a template that you made you no longer have to manually set the boot time.

Skip watching deployment but watch everything else
When you would like to view the moves but do not want to see where everyone distributes their armies, you can skip the deployment and go straight to the moves. In the larger games it takes forever to go through where everyone deploys there 500 armies but it is crucial to strategy to see how they use them.
12 votesIn the new Unity client, deployments all play at the same time which makes them go really fast. Thanks for the suggestion!

Color unity for team games
In the larger games it is sometimes a chore to figure out who is on your team and who is not. If we could have the a team color or perhaps stripes or some other visual way to see who is on your team and who is not- it saves time from clicking on a territory and then scrolling down the team lists.
41 votesWarLight now has a feature that allows you to change player’s color. You can use this to change a team to similar or identical colors which makes it easier to visualize what territories a team controls. Check out the new “Change Color” button that appears when clicking on a player in the lower-right corner.

Change color on first turn
In games with large numbers of players it's often the case that colors become confusing. Having the ability to change your color on the first turn would help better identify your territories on the map.
16 votesYou now have the ability to change your color in games! Check out the new “Change Color” button that appears when clicking on a player in the lower-right corner.

Display the standings in round Robin tournaments
A round-Robin tournament sets only one objective : be the highest in the standings. For now, the standings can't even be seen as a tournament goes on. It's just essential to make it possible to see how each one fares and where each one ranks.
64 votesRound robins now show the wins and losses of each player on the tournament page, even while the round-robin is in progress!

Partial history : see what only one player could see
That would be great to have the option of seeing the game as one given player actually saw it, instead of only the full picture. That feature would be a Major improvement for reviews.
109 votesYou can now use the “Switch Perspective” drop down while viewing history, to view the map with fog even on a finished game!

Add tournament filter "Active Tournaments that you did not decline"
Unless I'm missing something, there's no option on the Tournaments page - - despite the presence of about six or seven different display defaults to toggle through - - that does not show finished tournaments.
It gets a little old seeing the tournaments portion of the site get more and more cluttered. You can always view finished tournaments as it stands now, either by selecting "All Tournaments" as the display option or by (not surprisingly) selecting "Finished Tournaments" as the display option.
How about a toggle for "Active Tournaments That You Did Not Decline"? It would get rid of finished…
24 votesI’m pleased to announce that WarLight now has an “Active tournaments you didn’t decline” filter! Thanks for the suggestion!

closing card window second time I click "you have x cards" link
A link becomes visible with the amount of cards available in the top left corner. when I click it, the card window opens. Would be nice to have it close again next time I click it.
I know escape does the same, just seems natural to also have it close.
4 votesThe top left cards link now closes when you click it again!

Put an icon next to players you have on your blacklist
This would put a small icon or some sort of visual indicator next to players you've blacklisted.
While this wouldn't matter for when you create your own games, this would be helpful for joining other player's games since it would allow you to know if you're joining a game with someone you've blacklisted.
23 votesI’m pleased to announce that players you have on your blacklist now have a small blacklist icon next to them!
This appears in the game lobby and main game. It also appears on the Open Games tab which makes it much easier to avoid joining games with players you have blacklisted.

Up/Down arrow next to ladder rating showing change
Basically to the right of people's ratings you'd show an up or down arrow if their rating changed and perhaps a corresponding +10 or -5 or whatever (perhaps only showing that part in the full ladder list where there is more room). Could do the little symbol by the rank as well. This would give a quick little indication whether each person moved up/down and how much in the last update or two or over the last day or something. Would give a quick indication of who is moving up and who is moving down.
6 votesArrows are now shown!

Show time left before boot/auto-boot in games list
A setting to show, on your games list, how much time you have left before you can be booted or more importantly how long you have before you will be autobooted. Perhaps with a little symbol of some sort to distinguish between the two. Perhaps a way to sort games by time left before boot as well so you can bring the games to the top where you have the least time remaining to make your move. As it stands you have to go into a games settings to see which have auto-boot, how much time it is and how…

Ability to sort User-created maps by Highest rating, most played, date created, etc..
Similar sorting systems have been suggested, this just puts it all into one. First, each registered user would be allowed to rate a user-created map from 1 - 5, once. Then all maps can be sorted, a la Youtube, by Newest, Highest Rated, Most Played, etc...
This gives new players the opportunity to see the most popular maps and map creators the ability to tweak their maps based on their playability (also gives us bragging rights for the most played map).
45 votesI’m pleased to announce that you can now sort maps by highest rating and date created! There’s also a filter for “New Maps” as well as a bunch of new map-related functionality.
See the blog for the announcement: http://blog.warlight.net/index.php/2012/03/announcing-map-ratings-and-reviews/

Ladder 'Seasons'
This would cause the ladder to run for a determined period of time and then reset. The time period would have to be determined, but 3 or 4 months seems reasonable. At the conclusion of the 'season' final rankings would be permanently posted to a player's profile if they finished in the top (insert arbitrary number, such as 10, here). This would allow newer players to improve during the season and not have their early learning curve losses haunt them forever. The conclusion of a season could also see a massive tournament with the rankings used as seeds to determine…
43 votesI’m pleased to announce that the seasonal ladder is now available!
