Free games... no pay for 3v3
This use to be so fun but now myself along with many others are boycotting this. Go with ad's to make money. No one wants to pay, donations would be great but 30 bucks? Forget it... It's a simple game... 30 bucks can buy me a highly interactive shooter at best buy. Oh well another one down the drain.
3 votesHey Agamemnom,
You should check out the WarLight blog – WarLight has already been changed to allow 3v3s for free players.
“No one wants to pay” is clearly incorrect, as many players have already paid and even expressed that they would have even paid more.

Borders a different colour?
It's more of an inconvenience than anything, but what about making border colours slightly darker or brighter so that if I'm green and I take a green territory I can still see what areas are connected to where without clicking on each one.
8 votesThis is now complete! Territory borders now lighten themselves when the player controlling it has the same color as the border.

Use ads instead of paying!
For all of us people that can't pay the 30 dollars we probably wouldn't mind seeing ads on the site if we could play for free. I've seen the blog but I still have doubts I can pay this 30 for an online game. I suggest anyone who had paid to be able to get refunded.
6 votesWarLight now shows ads and lets players access the features that were previously only available to paying players! See the announcement for more info: http://blog.warlight.net/index.php/2013/07/warlight-2-0-is-coming/

Make chat real-time
The idea is to make chat real-time. Basically, chat would not be tied to the "Refresh" button, but would be pushed out immediately. The reason is that with the current setup, it is extremely difficult to have a conversation with someone in real-time.
5 votesThe game now refreshes much more quickly while you’re actively chatting. This should significantly reduce the earlier issues that were causing real-time conversations to be painful before.

Players able to rejoin a game after theyre booted if the AI takes over
Exactly what the title implies, if the setting is AI takeso ver if player booted, then the player can start playing again as long as their AI hasnt died before they want to rejoin the game.
4 votesPlayers can now re-join a game after the AI takes over for them! Just open a game where you’re an AI and click the new “Take back control from AI” button.

Public API
This would allow software developers to extract information, send commands programatically, and all sorts of other fun stuff. Like AI battles.
7 votesWarLight has a rudimentary API that allows you to do some things. You can read about it here:
You can’t yet play games, but you can get game information.
-
Save battleplan draft
This would allow you to deploy armies, make movements, play cards, then save those plans instead of committing them. This is important because it allows me to create and review my plans over a long period of time without keeping my browser open the whole time.
17 votesIt’s now possible to save orders and come back to them later! Check the announcement here: http://blog.warlight.net/index.php/2013/09/experimental-feature-orders-are-now-saved/

a "paratrooper" or "bomb" card
Many of the games i play have everybody set themselves up with all of their armies on their borders and all of the territories in between with 1 army. I think a para-trooper card where you could drop a select number of armies to take over a territory in the middle of your opponenents land would be good, or a bomb that you could use to reck some havoc in the territories that everyone seems to ignore. Heck call it a "rebellion" card and have it so you can overtake one of your opponents territories
1 voteBomb cards have now been implemented as a member-only feature. It halves the amount of armies on an adjacent territory.

Add buttons to jump Orders to the top/bottom of the order list
This would be in the window when you click on a specific order. What this would do is shoot an order to the very top or bottom of the order list.
Why this would be helpful; You can save time because you don't have to click the up/down arrow a bunch of times if you have forgotten an order that you want in a specific place. Mostly on big games like single player or a Quad Earth game.
The buttons would be Double arrows up or down like in the history window.
36 votesI’m pleased to announce that WarLight now has new buttons that can move orders directly to the top or bottom of the orders list!

Sort user-created maps by date
Since I mostly play the user-created maps - and I have played just about all of them - it would be helpful to have them sorted. That way, each time I login, I can see, from top-down, which ones have been added or modified most recently.
1 voteIt’s now possible to sort maps by date! Just select “Newest maps first” from the sort

Multi-attack card
Same as in multi-attack enabled game - the difference is with this card you can make only ONE multi-attack.This card could simulate Blitzkrieg: almost all of my armies (infantry) move with steady pace (1 territory/turn) but from time to time I can use my tanks to attack with the speed of 1,2,3 territories/turn; depending on how many multi-attack cards I have saved.
196 votesHey all,
I’m pleased to announce that this can now be implemented using the new mod framework!
Check out the “Limited multi-attack” mod.

Allow players to be saved as part of a personalized template
This would allow you to create games with the same players as you had done previously. These could be humans, open seats, or AI players.
This would also allow for exact re-matches, removing the need to add each player from your invite list if you want to create a re-match.
2 votesPlayers can now be saved in templates! This was actually done years ago, but I never updated the item until now.

Ability to make and save notes on player.
This would allow the user to make notes on another player's profile (only visible to the person who made the note).
Some benefits:
- you can notate players who have betrayed your truces
- notate players who have been vulgar
- notate a player's strategy251 votesIt’s now possible to create and save notes on players!
Simply visit someone’s profile and click the new “Private Notes” button. These will be stored and kept only for you – other players will never be able to see them.
You can return later to view or edit the notes you wrote previously.
-
An option to mute a player.
An option to mute a player.
4 votesAny chat by blacklisted players is now hidden. This effectively means that you can blacklist a player to mute them (though you may need to refresh your browser before it takes effect – hopefully this will be fixed soon)
-
Map rating and commenting system.
This would allow for maps to be rated and commented on.
26 votesI’m pleased to announce that WarLight now has an extensive map rating and reviewing system!
See the announcement for details: http://blog.warlight.net/index.php/2012/03/announcing-map-ratings-and-reviews/

Ability to see maps without going to Create Game
3 votesI’m happy to announce that the new Maps page lets you see all the maps on the website, without going to Create Game!

Cleverer AI
I'd like to see some more/smarter options for the AI -- perhaps just several difficulty levels, or perhaps also different styles of play. This is useful for playgroups who want to face off against a computer team, but still face a challenge.
94 votesI’m proud to announce that WarLight now has an all-new improved AI! Read more here: https://www.warlight.net/blog/index.php/2016/04/update-3-13-new-ai-custom-single-player-levels-autopilot/

Tournament Upgrades
Just a vast improvement of the tournament system. Examples of possible improvements are: booting players in games where both people quit the site, being able to sort the invite list when inviting players, being able to invite over the amount of spots in the tourney, standings in Round Robin, being able to invite to specific teams, having tournaments with open seats, etc.
7 votesThe tournament system was just upgraded! Check out the announcement here: https://www.warlight.net/blog/index.php/2015/03/update-3-7-coin-tournaments/

Music
When I play "fast" game and i wait on other players, i I'm getting bored. Why in Warlight is'nt music? Music should improve the game ;) This will be perfect :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTeCXOhF1cs
15 votesWarLight now has music! It defaults on in single-player, but off in multi-player. You can control it in the upper-right corner.

Ability to report players who verbally attack players
There was a player, named Who Am I, who exploded on the public chat during a match because both his teammates were new to the map and style of play. He said things that were racist and morally offensive, and I want to know where one can go to report such unacceptable behavior
3 votesYou can report players by clicking the “Report” button either in-game after clicking their name, or via a link at the bottom of their profile.
