  1. 3 v 3 Europe (no cards) Ladder

    Game settings:


    • Warlords (can pick only 1 spot in each bonus)

    • 3 or 4 starting spots

    • Starting armies of 5

    • No wastelands, no cards

    • All neutrals are worth 2

    • The spots that can be picked change each game (random warlord spots each game)

  3. Auto boot

    Game creators can enable auto-boot for their game. When enabled, if a player reaches the boot timer, WarLight will automatically boot them instead of requiring a player to click the boot button.

    WarLight now supports auto-boot! When the auto boot time is reached, WarLight will automatically boot players without requiring anybody to click the boot button.

    Game creators can set the auto boot independently of the other two boot times

  4. Leagues/Clans

    **Many people have brought up the issue of a ranking system and ladder. This concept would be amazing because, in addition to driving people to better, it would reduce the issue of mismatched opponents.

    **Another topic discussed has been preformed teams. I happen to think this is a much needed system, one that would greatly improve the site. I often want to play with my friends on the same team but this is hard to accomplish. A set-teams function would make this much easier. Preformed teams would also lead to another reality- clans.   5. Quickmatch leaderboards

    Add a way to see who's leading the quickmatch leaderboards, for each individual rating (global, each template, etc.)

  6. Soft boot

    There are two main purposes of booting: player doesn't submit orders in given time or leaves the game/WL.
    In the first case it's sometimes because he was unable to do so in given time (hardware failure, power cut, whatever) but then he goes back to WL just to see he'd been booted and can't play any more.
    So, how about "soft-boot" mode? In soft boot player which doesn't submit his orders is replaced by AI for that one turn only. Then there's another full time turn when player can go back and continue his game. However if player leaves game…

    I’m pleased to announce that WarLight now supports soft boot!

    To use this, enable the setting “Booted players get turned into an AI.” When a player becomes an AI, they now have a button that allows them to take back control from the AI. This effectively allows an AI to control a player while they’re away, and they can play themselves while they’re there.

  7. Secondary Colors

    It's a little bit annoying to miss out on a game just because you're picking a color.

    Having preset secondary and tertiary colors would help to counter this.

    Of course, being able to set the priority of all of the colors would be the best solution to this problem but that may be more trouble than it's worth. Two or three should be fine.

  8. AI replaces booted players. Game is over when AI is the only opponent.

    Allow game creators to optionally specify that when a player gets booted he's territories are taken over by AI.

    I think ONLY booted player should be changed by AI (not surrendered).

    In case if all you opponents are AI - the game is finished and you win.

    EXAMPLES
    Team A (3 players) vs Team B (3 players) - 1 player from B is booted, the games is between 3 v 2+1AI and continuous.

    Game 1 vs 1 - booting means 1 v 1AI = end of game.

    Game 2 v 2 - booting means 2 v 1+1AI. When second player…

    You can do this now! Two checkboxes exist when creating a game:

    “Players turn into AI controlled players when booted”

    and

    “AIs surrender when only one human remains”

    By making the AIs surrender instead of just ending the game, the remaining human can choose if they want to accept those surrenders or have fun slaughtering the AI.

  9. Partial history : see what only one player could see

    That would be great to have the option of seeing the game as one given player actually saw it, instead of only the full picture. That feature would be a Major improvement for reviews.

  10. Cleverer AI

    I'd like to see some more/smarter options for the AI -- perhaps just several difficulty levels, or perhaps also different styles of play. This is useful for playgroups who want to face off against a computer team, but still face a challenge.

    It’s now possible to edit forum posts! Just visit your post and click the Edit button.

    Posts can be edited any time, as long as they’re not in a thread that’s been idle for more than 30 days.

  12. I want instant messaging chatrooms.

    I want chatrooms where we can message each other. This feature would be great for clans and non clans alike, and it would be a great way to chat and arrange real time games with other players.

  13. Scenarios

    To be able to take a map and personally decide the initial army placements. So if i want i could decide players A gets 10 armies in south america and player B gets 3 armies in north africa and 5 in greenland. Also to be able to decide who gets what territories so for example in BIG USA i can give the east to one player and the west to another.

    I’m pleased to announce that custom scenarios are now available!

    Game creators can now elect to forego the built-in map distribution system and enter, territory-by-territory, exactly how they want the map to be distributed.

  14. Increase the Forum Posting Level to 30/Ban Trolls

    Trolls everyday are taking over the forums... It is pointless and their contributions to the community are nothing but a annoyance.

    Increasing the Posting level would only help this a little, removing non-funny trolls (some are funny, I like them) that do no good for the community should not be allowed to post to the forums, at-least the ones that people use to try to co-ordinate events.

  16. Display the standings in round Robin tournaments

    A round-Robin tournament sets only one objective : be the highest in the standings. For now, the standings can't even be seen as a tournament goes on. It's just essential to make it possible to see how each one fares and where each one ranks.

  17. Custom Scenario - allow multi-territory selection

    The page for creating a custom scenario takes a LONG time to use. You have to select each territory individually, then assign it an amount and slot. The only other option is to select all. Please add a way to add to the selection so an entire slot of territories can be added at once

    It’s now possible to set many territories at once when creating custom scenarios!

    You can click on a bonus link (the boxes that represent a bonus), and then type in an army number or select a slot from the drop-down, it will be applied to the entire bonus.

    This works on the website, but not yet on the iOS/Android app.

  18. Add the No-Luck graph to the Unity client

    In games with no luck in their combat, you can see how many armies will die in combat by opening the attack/transfer dialog, typing in a number, and looking at the "Kills" label.

    For example, in default settings, typing in 10 will show that it kills 6. Typing in 20 will show that it kills 12.

    This idea is to make this data into a graph, so you can see multiple values at once.

  19. tweaks to live tournament system

    i feel we are still missing a few tweaks to the live tournament system:
    1) being able to downsize and upsize according to joining demand (date of join gives people priority)
    2) keeping a waiting list when tournament is full
    3) pop up a confirmation when the realtime tournament starts to confirm the person is active before game is attributed, if it's not then pass their slot to next person in waiting list
    4) option to fill up the rest of the tournament slots with bye slots when we are missing 25% of the people to start the tournament

    Allow playing WarLight through your browser without having Flash installed.

    (Note: This would still assume you're running on a large screen. This would not automatically work well on mobile devices such as the iPhone since the UI is not optimal for an iPhone screen.)
