Allow teams to receive armies when the team collectively controls a bonus
When a bonus is occupied by two or more teammates, the armies assigned to that bonus should be distributed to all of the teammates accordingly, instead of one teammate having to control the entire bonus.
Hi all,
I can certainly see the appeal of this, as it makes it easier for teams to take over lands without communicating. But honestly, team communication is a big part of the game, and I don’t like the idea of lessening it.
This also presents problems with how to divy up the income. There are edge cases where no single answer is fair. It also causes issues with local deployment and other features, and just generally increases the complexity of team games as it’s one more thing new players have to learn about before they can compete.
Due to all of these reasons combined, it’s unlikely this featue will ever be added to WarLight. But we appreciate the suggestion!

"dividing up the income is simple, percentage of number of areas each member has."
And if the bonus is worth 3 armies per turn, and two players each control half of the bonus? 3 does not divide by 2 evenly. We don't want to use randomness to determine the tie breaker, and we want the answer to be predictable and easy for new players to learn.
I'm not saying it can't be done, just that these kinds of complexities make the feature less appealing compared to others.

i don't see how this would hinder team communication. and dividing up the income is simple, percentage of number of areas each member has. can be something disabled for local deployment if you find too complex to implement but i still find it doable. don't understand why you're against this.

I don't like this one but I do see the need for an easy way to withdraw. Perhaps, a withdraw command and/or card that remove all your troops from an area into an ALREADY OCCUPIED/OWNED territory leaving it as a zero neutral. Even an AI would snatch that up to complete a bonus. It has to be an already owned territory because the intent is not to allow you to use to attack a new territory with one extra trooper. It is more a strategic retreat. It could even be used on the war front to back up a step. Damn... this is a totally different card idea. I don't want to start that thread. :P

I agree with the commenters that say they would like this as an option, but not the default.

Yes, that is a good idea.

with superbonuses, yes

Extremely crucial to have this. Would save lots of time even if a small portion of the bonus was given to the team members holding that bonus. What about a 50% reward split among the occupants?

Has this been implemented yet? I don't know how to remove my AI ally or myself from areas in order to get the bonus.

Hi commented
Having it be just one regular bonus makes it seem OP.
Perhaps with super bonuses? Because they're hard to take over with only one player doing it all.

Not sure this is a good idea.... allowing sharing of bonus this way, would make the weak link in the team a stronger player. Basically it will enable complacency and mediocre players to have a fighting chance against somebody who has done its homework and learnt about strategy.....
As I said not sure about this idea.. but if a could vote NO.. that would be my answer

Terrible...

As an additional option it will be nice.

Yeah, I hate this idea. It would take a lot of strategy out of the game IMO. The only thing I would like is when you have AI on your team it helps a lot. This should be off by default for sure (and highlighted if on) if this ever happens.

I like it as an option maybe with ai players in it

I like the idea some of the ideas here, like being able set how many percents of the Bonus would disapper, like chosing it to be 75% of the bonus being split between the team or anything else.
also like johns comments, options to chose;
split the bonus acording to how many regions the players control each
give gift card whit as much unit as the bonus is worth
giving the one whit the majority all the income -

very poor, defeats the point of starting in different bonuses. say on the big us map, you each enter louisiana, one from texas and another from alabama, so that the whole thing is taken much faster (if there aren't any cards, if there is gift you simply gift them a territory)

maybe getting a smaller % of the bonus then if only 1 player would have it.
this would be interesting for maps with big bonuses and large teams atleast -

Personally, I don't agree. It's up to teamwork and communication with teammates, and the ability to be assertive and control your fellow AI.

How would you divide the bonus armies? If there's 10 territories in the mix, and your mate has 1, do you get 9, he gets 1? Or whomever has the majority gets all of it - electoral college style? Or will the team get a reinforcement card worth that bonus value?
