Identify players by their country with a flag next to their name
Chess.com has a feature I would like to see added. Each player's name has next to it their country' flag. It makes it more interesting to see where our opponents and partners are located.

I’m pleased to announce that WarLight now shows country flags on player’s profiles! You can now tell what country your opponents are playing in.

However, the likes of the UK has countries within the unified country. I don’t identify as British, I’m Scottish 🏴 and it would be offensive for a Republican in NI to have the Union Jack 🇬🇧 next to their profile name - can you consider allowing people to self identify their preferred country flag?

@WarGeneral514514. I left the U.S. and went to South Korea for a few months and I could access the website from over there. So its possible to have players from many different countries

It's a great idea, but we already have our clan logos next to our name, so I doubt any room would be left.

This feature could be helpful to identify the users for the nations cup (http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread.aspx?ThreadID=3864&Offset=0). The feature could be extended, so warlight members could be filtered by country (if there was a list of all warlight players..).

loved that idea, i'm asking all the players on each game and sometimes they just ignore it, voted 3 times.

I like the idea. It would save the time asking people what country they live in and would make games with lots of people go faster.
WarGeneral, it doesn't matter if it has www or not, it should still work everywhere.

Yeah, but you see this website isn't www.Warlight.net, it is just Warlight.net, so it doesn't go around the whole world, so I think this website is only available in the USA, I am not sure. I also like Chess.com, I was addicted to it, but now I am addicted to this, because Chess.com banned me for having 2 accounts, even though I closed the other one because I was having problems.

Good idea, but it should be optional to set your country and be not based on player's IP address.

good idea, especially when multi day game is with someone on another continent because we get stuck at 1 turn a day, pretty boring!!!

i like the idea, however i think it should be an option to display the flag, not required. I would display it myself, just some may not want to...

yes it would definitely help with communication: I hate it when I look in the chat and I dont know whether the person is Polish, American, whatever-this would totally solve the problem
