New Idle Feature Proposal: Power Trading
How it would work is you would select a power you currently have, then you would select a button that brings up a menu listed with the potential powers you can swap your chosen power for. Next, you would select how many you want to trade, if you have more than one of that power, then finally, hit a button to confirm, and wait a few hours for the trade to happen.
Here are a few rules for trading to help balance this:
-You can only trade powers that you currently have in your inventory.
--If there’s a power that you’re close to getting, but you want it to be something else, you have to pick it up from the map first before you can trade it for something else.
-You can only receive powers that are lower tier, higher listed on the powers menu, than the power you’re trying to trade.
--Ex: If you want to trade in a Market Raid, you can only trade it for a Free Cache, Supercharge Mine, Supercharge Army, or Time Warp. If you want to trade in a Skip Level, you can also choose to trade it for an Inspire Mercenaries, Fog Buster, or Market Raid, on top of what you can get from trading a Market Raid.
---With this restriction, this means you can never receive a Multi Level power through trading. On the flip side, this also means you can never trade in a Time Warp power.
-For every tier below the power you’re wanting to trade in, every power listing above the selected one in the menu, you’ll have to wait 1 in-game hour for the trade to process. If you want to trade multiple powers at once, the processing time is multiplied by how many you want to trade.
--Ex: If you want to trade 3 Skip Levels for 3 Supercharge Mines, Supercharge mines are 5 tiers from Skip Levels, so you’ll have to wait 5 in-game hours for each power you’re trading. With 3 of them, it will cost you 15 hours.
---You can use your idle time to keep the trade ticket going at the normal rate for as long as your idle time allows. However, if your idle time runs out, the trade ticket will still be processed in real-time, but at 10% of the rate when the game is open. When you come back, the ticket will resume being processed at the normal rate again.
----If you make the above trade, 3 SLs for 3 SMs, then leave, once you hit 2 hours, you’ll have 13 hours left wait. If you continue to stay gone after the 2 hours, the trade will still be processed, but you’ll now have to wait 130 hours for the ticket to finish processing. If you come back 5 hours later, leaving 125 offline hours left, you’ll have 12.5 in-game hours left and the processing will continue from there.
-Once a trade has finished processing, each power in the trade, no matter what the trade was, will remain unusable for an additional 10 mins.
--Ex: If you want to trade 4 MRs for 4 TWs, after the ticket has been processed, the new TWs will be put in a sub-bank, then every 10 minutes, one of the new TWs will be removed from the sub-bank and be placed into your inventory, ready to be used, until all of them have been placed.
---If your inventory is full, the transfer from the sub-bank to your inventory will be paused until room has been made.
---If you want to trade the powers in the sub-bank for something else, you have to wait for the powers to be placed into your inventory.
-You can only trade one type of power for one type of power per trade.
--Ex: If you have 5 Market Raids and you want to trade them for 1 Free Cache, 1 Supercharge Mine, 2 Supercharge Army Camps, and 1 Time Warp, you have to trade them in 4 separate trades.
-You can have more than one trade active at once, but they will be set in a queue system.
--Ex: If you have 4 Fog Busters that you want to trade in for 3 Supercharge Mines and 1 Supercharge Army Camp, you can make both separate trades, but they will be processed one at a time.
-The order of the trade tickets in the queue can’t be changed.
--All newly created trade tickets get placed at the end of the queue, and they can’t be moved up.
-You can’t cancel or change a trade ticket once it’s in the queue.
--Ex: If you have a trade in the queue where you’re trading 2 Inspire Mercenaries for 2 Supercharge Army Camps, and you want to change them to be Time Warps, you’ll have to wait for that trade to be processed and the powers are put in your inventory, then open another ticket to trade the 2 SAs for 2 TWs. However, if you wanted the 2 IMs to be 2 Free Caches instead of 2 SAs, that would be impossible.
---If you wanted the IMs to be TWs instead of SAs, since trading costs 1 hour per tier moved per power in the trade, performing both trades of IMs to SAs to TWs will only lose you 20 mins, since you’ll have wait for the powers to be put into your inventory after the ticket has been processed and the powers are in your inventory before you can change them.
If the levels have to be revised to accommodate this, that’s fine. I think this would be a nice feature to add, especially for people that have full inventories of powers they can’t use.
If more rules are needed or some of these need tweaking, that’s also fine.
