Receive base number of card pieces regardless of attack success
The current rules state: In order to qualify for receiving cards in a turn, players must capture at least one enemy or neutral territory. It does not matter how many they capture beyond the first - they just need to capture one or more. Players that don't capture any territories or only capture teammate territories do not receive any card pieces that turn.
When you successfully attack and capture an enemy or neutral territory, at the end of that turn you will receive a piece of a card, regardless of whether you lose the territory later that turn. You can't get more, no matter how many territories you take.
I reccomend that other options should be available, such as: successful capture only, and base income per turn.
I want to do this for a duel, with full fog, commerce on, and only 2 territories, so that we can use number of turns to strategically choose between two of four or five cards that have different chances of having a piece received but useful for a duel.
Such as a one turn recon card that is relatively easier to get than saving up a number of turns for a much more expensive or less likely to be received pieces for spy card that lasts 3 turns. Or a cheap reinforcements card vs an expensive sanctions card.
The issue is, because of the "must successfully capture" rule, you can not gain pieces passively like armies, or gold, and so it is useless on a map with only one territory per player. But even in general, this would be a fresh twist up on settings that allow for new game types.
