Diplomacy Game Mode
This idea has been posted and veto-ed before but I think it is quite distinct from the popular "peace treaties" idea and deserves another chance. I have personally participated in a handful of diplomacy-style games and I think they would benefit greatly from having an actual game mode to accommodate them and force people to play by the rules. It's a great addition to Warlight that sets it apart from other Risk-type games and I would love to see it nurtured.
The game works like this:
1) At the beginning of the game, all of the players select a single territory called a "capitol" within their "homeland," their own specific bonus/superbonus. The distribution would work like it does in a normal game where people select multiple locations - although in this distribution mode you are only allowed to select one territory per bonus/superbonus - but at the start of the game each person begins with their own bonus or superbonus based on the order of their picks (this means that there can only be as many players as there are bonuses/superbonuses)
2) In order to attack another player, whether in their homeland or elsewhere, you must declare war a turn in advance. A declaration of war would be one of the options that pop up in a player's specific player menu, like "select visible territories" or "report". Once you have declared war, a message will appear in public chat to inform the other players of your declaration. If you have not declared war, players should be incapable of attacking each other as with a diplomacy card; you can set the attack but it will only be carried out if another player you are at war with takes the territory over or if it is abandoned, for example.
3) If someone's capitol is taken over by another player, they are forced to automatically surrender.
These games are extremely fun but they are highly susceptible to cheaters because there is nothing to enforce the rules. Players frequently chose territories within another player's homeland or attack without warning and it greatly reduces the likelihood that someone who plays by the rules can win. I would love to see a game mode that eliminates these problems implemented.
Hey all,
This idea can now be implemented using the new mod framework! As such, I’m closing this idea, as new ideas that can be implemented as mods should be created as mods first. See https://www.warzone.com/wiki/Feedback for details.

i like it except the 3rd one, after getting a capital vassals should be made, the vassal should only be allowed to attack other players if it's master agrees, and they also have to pay income/tax to thier masters

I like the idea ( I have a template with a rule set almost exactly like this) But if this is implemented, watch out for lottery bombardments since this most likely will be for high levels x.x
