Pincer Attack Bonus
In real life, Pincer Attack can do great damage. In Warlight, no, there is no such option.
Therefore, I suggest to have a pincer attack setting for high level player to set at the map.
When the map has pincer attack on, you can shift select multiple territories to attack on a single neighbour opponent's territory.
This pincer attack is default OFF, so it annoys nobody if ppl dislike it. It can only be turned on games created by high level players when they feel like to turn it on.
Pincer Attack Bonus Percentage:
There is a percentage setting for pincer attack bonus. In the following example, let's say we make it 40%
How to apply the bonus:
The pincer attack bonus percentage will be applied on all attacker armies except from the territory with the largest armies.
Attacker owns Florida & Venezuela
Defender owns Cuba.
Florida Attacking Units: 30
Venezuela Attacking Units: 20
Cuba Defending Units: 50.
Florida Attacking Units attacking power with luck: 30 * 60% = ~18
Venezuela Attacking Units attacking power: 20 * (60%+40%) = ~20 (the pincer attack bonus applies since this is not the largest attacker group)
Cuba Defending Units defending power: 50 * 70% = ~35
So Cuba will lose ~38 units, while Florida & Venezuela will lose a total of 35 units (Most likely distribute 60% at Florida & 40% at Venezuela)
1. Even if the pincer attack bonus is 0%, the attacker will still have less attacker units died than splitting the attack into two. There will be less stall in the game.
Attacking Strategies. Say, it will be a bit harder to strike in the center territories of an enemy base, cause the attacker will likely receive pincer attacks from all over the surrounding territories.
When you are at enemies border, it could be beneficial to take the surrounding territories and give your enemies a pincer attack
It changes the strategic values of the territories. Say, Egypt is more vulnerable from the pincer attacks of Israel and Saudi Arabia.
1. Pincer Attack Card.
Players could only use pincer attack when they have pincer attack card.
- Team Pincer Attack Card. With this card you can pincer attack with the help from teammate territory.
That's all. Some of you may dislike it, so the default will definitely be off. This option could change the game like the "Multi attack", but it should also provide more strategic values into the game with a well balanced bonus setting. If you can think of some suggestions pls kindly let me know :)
If we are to get that detailed then i suggest tgis. Armies of say 10 or higher can have a command set, such as pincer, envelop, skirmish, , feignt, all attack etc. You could give a bonus or minus on formations vrs formations . With just plain old attack/ deffend for units under 10 ( or what ever size is stated in the game) that could be a setting 10 to 100+ or something. Or maybe have " generals" put them together by cards, they allow formations based on there level.....just throwing some ideas out there....

Not a terrible idea, but it would require a lot of new coding, so it isn't likely.
