Player "Active/Inactive" Status- where inactive players automatically forfeit all open games.
If a player has not made a move in any game for 30-90 days (comment on how long you think it should be), then their status would change from "active" to "inactive" and they would automatically forfeit any open games (the equivalent of a auto-surrender).
Any move in any game would reset the clock on one's active status, so this would not address people who choose not to play a given game for months, but it would clean-up games where one or more of the players has left WL.
Also, if you become inactive, all you would have to do to become active again is join a game and start playing (with a pop-up saying "Welcome Back!").
Hello!
Warzone just launched the Features Request Forum, which is replacing the old UserVoice forum! This offers a lot of improvements over UserVoice, such as the ability to see who is voting for each item and expiring votes from inactive players.
If you still care about this UserVoice item, please put your votes into it on the new Feature Request Forum at https://www.warzone.com/Forum/f12-Feature-Requests

hasn't this idea already been implemented...?

I like this idea, but it should probably be 100 days or longer, since I think that's the longest possible boot setting. It's not quite fair to have joined a game with 100-day boot only to find out that you're actually autobooted at 30 or 45 or 60 days (even though that's still a long time).
It would also be nice if an account that was about to go active (say 7 or 10 days before the limit) was sent an email warning about it. And it's probably only fair to start the countdown when the change is implemented, even if a given account has already been inactive for longer than the limit.

this could also be an optional thing for players who know theyre leaving or dont want to play anymore - they could retire on their profile page and their account would become inactive

I also vote for 45 days, but would be happy with other lengths as well.

30 days would be good, a whole month is kinda crazy...

30 days, 45 days, 60 days, whatever. They all work for me.

Yes, please.

I say 60 would be best (although if it's implemented, it would probably be 100 days, like the direct boot time limit).
Also, I don't know how the auto-surrender works, but this one has to not have to be accepted - otherwise stuck 1v1 tourney games will not get unstucked anyway.

Good, Duke. I vote for 45 days, but the solution MUST be retroactive to resolve stuck games.
