  1. Templates should be shown for finished RT ladder games

    The "Recently Finished Games" list on the real-time ladder page gives the links to the games and shows only who played with whom, who won, and the date of the games.

    It should also show the template of the game.

    If I want to check a game played on a certain template (you know, to see how people play on that particular template), there should be a way to find an exemplary game, other than "click the link to see if it was played on that template - if not, try the next game".

      • More players in games

        Instead of the maximum amount of people in a game being 40, how about that could be increased to maybe 50 or 60, heck even 70.
        This would be good for world maps or maps of Asia so that there could be a slot for every country.

        • Ability to Search Community Levels By Map

          I am a big fan of the Insanely detailed world map and the ability to search the community levels that specifically use that map would make is a lot easier to find them

          • Pop-up box asking if you are active before game start

            I have played a lot of diplomacy games in my Warlight career and so many times after waiting hours for the game to fill up, one player ends up getting booted and creates a power vacuum.

            My suggestion is that just before the game starts a pop-up box displays asking if you are ready to start the game. It basically works like a boot timer, which can be customized by the host.

            Say the game starts, the pop-up displays, but one person doesn't click 'ready' within the allotted time, then that player is basically kicked from the game before the…

            • Allow players waiting for "Join or Decline" to get removed by any player.

              When players use the "Rematch" feature it brings along the other players with a "waiting for join or decline" status. Many times, particularly in the big FFA games, someone will start a game with fewer players than necessary (like play with 4 instead of 10). Then after that game, they hit rematch to start a new game. The new game will fill with other new players but typically there will be a couple of "waiting for join or decline" players, who are not paying attention. The host isn't paying attention either, just waiting for the chime.

              • Do not let Blacklisted Players on your team in Random Team games

                In games with Random teams, would it be possible to make it so that players you have Blacklisted are not placed on your team ?

                • Economic gameplay

                  Get economic points for owning certain territories. These points could be traded with other players, and could optionally allow you to win via economics somehow. Perhaps more points = can build armies more quickly or something.

                    Every turn I use the history menu to get information, I think it would be good function to add editor in the current window turn. For example to mark up, start positions and wastelands. In the editor it would also be helpful to mark what an opponent might have, where it can be and how big his bonus is. Normal I make these calculations in my head, so editor could help understand and more strategically approach the gameplay.

                      This will allow for more fun in diplomacy games. By being able to ally other players, or remove alliances, this can be useful.

                        Create a chrome extension that notifies you when it is your turn in a game, there is unread chat, someone nudged you etc. I never check my e-mail so I know this would be very helpful for me.

                        • Add a way of enforcing diplo rules in settings

                          Diplomacy games are very popular in WarLight but are often ruined by people breaking the diplo rules such as don't declare war 1 turn before attacking....... these people who become PE or Public Enemy ruin the game for everyone because it breaks diplomatic relations and ruins people's nations and territory....... their should be a way in the settings to force people to follow "standard diplomacy rules" to make it so that people don't have their game experienced ruined by someone who breaks the rules.

                          Standard diplo rules include:
                          1. Declare war (x turns) before attacking, ex. Declare turn x, place…

                            This would allow players to join/decline games faster, especially if the player has multiple join requests from tournaments, invites, etc.

                            The Hotkeys could be J for Joining, and D for Declining.

                            • Warlight Generals

                              Like commanders, Generals are a single unit representing non-decreasing armies. However, there are a few differences:

                              1. The General would be obtained by card piece. The player would then select the territory where the general would be placed. This would make a game interesting, as this can make or break a game.

                              2. The General would represent a customizable amount of armies. It could be 5, 7, or another amount of armies.

                              3. If the General is eliminated, the game would continue, so losing players would not play on in a losing position knowing they can win simply by killing…

                                      • Option for commander give percent bonus, rather than fixed

                                        Commanders seem like a cool idea, but in practice they're actually only used for a few turns when their bonus matters, and then hidden away from the front to prevent instant losses. If instead they multiplied the power of the army they were on, it would be tempting to use them throughout the whole game.

                                          Provide the time of day (and date?) on the speed menu in addition to the time it took to make the move. This helps with expectations of when the next highly anticipated turn will start when waiting on just a few players.
