  1. Relevant Map of the Week auto-games

    Maps come in a huge range of sizes, but it seems as though the autogames created on the Map of the Week don't look at the size when determining number of players, if players are in teams etc. It wouldn't be hard to implement, you could just have some case statement for ranges of number of players and set the team or number of players settings accordingly.

  2. Add a "friends list" subset to the invite list

    After playing many games here, the invite list gets cumbersome. It would be nice to have a smaller list for people I really enjoyed playing with.

  3. New map-making/ template features.

    One-way connections
    -Territory A can attack Territory B, but B cannot attack A. (think of it like a bomber attacking ground troops)

    Triggers
    -if Player A controls Territory A, then Territory B's wasteland is reduced
    -if Player A controls Territory A, then Bonus A's value increases/decreases.
    -if Player A controls Territory A, then several connections become available. (think of Territory A being a switch or a key, opening doors to previously inaccessible rooms)

    Removing territories
    -The ability to create a template where certain territories on the map dont exist. this allows players to have quicker games on bigger maps they…

    Able to blacklist players on a thread that you are the original poster of so that you don't get the annoying players constantly commenting on them.

  5. number of times a player has played the map the game is played on

    why?
    It has happened often enough that players that meet all prerequisites for a game have no idea whatsoever how to play a certain map and thus cause their team to have no chance (e.g. letting people have superbonuses in ROR or not spreading in europe big)

    in the forum, there was the comment that "it might make it harder for a new player to learn a map if no one makes a game he could play on".

    nevertheless, this would be a good option as other prerequisites (such as high lvl etc) have the same effect and are still…

  6. Color Proirities by age of membership

    Have the color choice priorities first go by if you have a membership or not and then the age of said membership. After this just check the join date and then level or head to head rankings.

    This helps to support the players who have been supporting the game/page.

  7. Seeing Income of slots and changing bo us income in distribution settings

    It would be nice if we could see the income of slots while we make them in distribution settings and be able to change bonus income while in the same setting.

  8. Icon & Shield pixel plus pattern as well as colour

    Choose from a list of icons or upload your own 16x16 pixel icon.
    Plus add pattern and icon to maps instead of just a single colour.

  9. Discard on end turn screen

    When I end my turn and there are some units undeployed or some cards to use, I MUST go back and do this. Even if I don't want to (some situations in LD games) or if I run into auto boot, I am not allowed to end my turn.

    I don't want to see:
    "You must deploy..."

    I would like to see something like:
    "You have some armies left to deploy.
    (button A) Deploy them
    (button B) Discard them and end my turn"

  10. Player "Active/Inactive" Status- where inactive players automatically forfeit all open games.

    If a player has not made a move in any game for 30-90 days (comment on how long you think it should be), then their status would change from "active" to "inactive" and they would automatically forfeit any open games (the equivalent of a auto-surrender).

    Any move in any game would reset the clock on one's active status, so this would not address people who choose not to play a given game for months, but it would clean-up games where one or more of the players has left WL.

    Also, if you become inactive, all you would have to do…

    Hi all,

    We would certainly like WarLight to run on all phones. However, making an app for a phone is a huge amount of work (the iOS and Android version took over 2 years). We have to weigh the amount of work against the benefit, and right now it’s not sufficient to warrant devoting so much time to the Windows Phone.

    We will keep this item open and continue to re-evaluate in the future to see if the landscape changes. Thanks for the suggestion.

  12. Improved search functionality in tournaments

    The new search function is tournaments is awesome, but if you search for generic names (like John) you can end up with as much as 30 results. It would help if more info was added to the search results like the level and a profile pic, that way it would help a bit to find the John you want.

  13. defensive bonuse cards

    this would be played on a single territory or bonus and either decrease the amount of troops you lose defending the territory/bonus, or increase the amount of troops your a defender takes out when attacked in the territory or bonus.

  15. removing fog by a button in game

    once youve been eliminated, or surrendered, and are still connected with your friends who are continuing to battle, would be nice to be able to watch their action...either by a simple button that activated when player is eliminated or surrenders, or done so automatically, -can be setup to work either way by host when he creates game... so if ones concerned about tourny cheating by outed player telling teamate where they are, a host would simply not activate this option... for friends playing together...its a drag to be sitting waiting for them to finish without being able to watch the…

  16. Sort by map-maker (alphabetically) in maps page and list of created maps on user profiles.

    Users could also have an average map rating. This is basically to make it easier to find quality maps or certain styles, seeing as map-makers have their own special way of making and designing maps.

  17. Some random new card thoughts

    Agreed. Some new cards could be fun.

    Here's some I can think up on the spot, so imagine if we put so true thought into theses.

    Blitzkrieg, gives you a multiple attack option. So if you kill the territory the armies continue on to the next territory in the same turn. -Cool in games without the multi attack option

    Nuke. It kills bonus and makes it radioactive for 3 three turns. - Defensive or Offensive strategy

    Predator missile, like the paratroops but kills a territory instantly. - takes a super bonus out of the picture for one turn

    With a group of friends who play tournaments among themselves, it would be great to allow everyone to join the tournament and then randomly put everyone into teams.

  20. Eliminate deployment round

    Did you ever step away from years of ingrained patterns about the way Risk works, and imagine whether having a deployment round is necessary in this game?

    How about combining the deployment round and the transfer/attack round into one round?

    I think this might make playing the game simpler. It may make the game easier to explain, too, there's no need to explain that there is a thing called a deployment round and a separate thing called a transfer/attack round. It might also lead UI simplifications, as there'd then only be two things to do: deploy/transfer/attack, and commit. Possibly one…
