  1. move player to bottom of team names when they surrender or are booted.

    in multi-player games (especially 10-12 per team) it would be nice when a player surrenders or is booted for them to be moved to bottom of team list. this often happens when, during game play, a person leaves the multi game screen for any reason and then returns. would be nice if it was automatic, however.

  3. Declination replace

    I think most people have encountered a declination in a team game... One that unbalances the teams and ruins the game. I suggest a feature that allows a user to choose between declinations automatically transforming either into Open seats with standard setting or AIs. What do you think?

  4. Mark warlords and wasteland locations on map

    It would be nice to not have to keep loading/accessing history just to see where warlord and wasteland locations were at start of game. It would be nice to see a little icon on the territory, or hatch or something that marks them. Then you can use history to look at moves, but not have to keep checking it to make sure you aren't attacking a bonus with a wasteland for example.

  5. Be able to talk in chat in your own games even if you are not in it

    That would be cool if you could talk in chat in your own games you make even if you are not in them.

  6. See common games - only if there WAS a common game

    In the profile of an opponent i can click on "see common games" to see if i already hat some game with this person. This link is also visible if we are currently playing our first game only. I always take a look at this to see if the opponent should be known to me and if he had a common strategy. Bur most time there was no game in the past.
    Please hide this entry if the current game is the only common :)

  7. Hide/Collapse time stamp in chat window.

    The time stamp in the chat window takes up too much room.
    While it is useful to see when a comment was made, having the column remain a fixed width when the chat window is shrunk down wastes a great deal of space and makes the comments unreadable in team games. The time should never get more real estate than the messages, and it should probably not get more real estate than player names (they are the purpose of the window after all)

    • Minimally resize the time column (up to a maximum width not a minimum) when the chat window…

  8. Maintain custom scenario when a map updates

    This would allow WarLight to merge a custom scenario between different versions of a map. Today, if you build a custom scenario, and save it as a template, then the creator of that map updates his map, WarLight can't transfer the custom scenario to the new map version. This item would allow that possibility.

    If the new map version adds new territories, removes territories, or changes the ID of a territory it still could mess up your scenario, so even after this item is completed it will still be necessary to review the scenario after it's moved to ensure it's…

  9. Posted Boot %

    In the list of players waiting to play we see a color + the name. Add another icon to identify their boot %. The set of icons would denote <5%, 6-9%, 10-19% & >20%. I hate pickup games when you're stuck with a chronic "Booted" team member. Now you have to look at profiles one at a time. It's be nice to see it at a glance.

  10. upgrades

    you can use armies you have in a bonus to increase it. For example:
    in the bonus xy you have some armies left. because xy is far behind the frontlines they are quite useless. if you move to every territoriy 3 armies you can sacrifice them and the bonus is worth the double amount of armies

  11. Watch live chat, while spectating

    I was watching a Warlight game, but did not enter, so i end up in spectating mode, so i stayed and watch, but i could not see any live chat while spectating. It would be more interesting for the spectating mode.

  13. Option of showing old names or not

    When editing your profile, it says "All fields are optional." but no option for old names. I noticed that "Your old names are visible on your profile so your friends can keep track of who you are. " but what if I don't want people to know the name I previously used?

  14. Reinforcement Income Defection Card

    A card that causes a percentage of a selected opponent's income to 'defect' to you.

    Likely best played at or near the bottom of the order stack, taking effect at the beginning of the next turn, this card would allow the player to nominate an opponent, whose income would become your income. Game settings specific to the card would be to set what percentage of armies defect, to allow the card to be completely effective or only partially so.

    This card should be calculated after the sanctions cards (i.e. playing against a sanctioned player would be ineffective, receiving sanctions yourself…

  15. Encirclement

    The idea of this would be an option that during a game a player would choose a territory of his own to be a "supply" territory. Any territory linked to this would be able to have armies deployed in it. Territories not directly linked to this territory would be able to receive armies based on the concept that: If territory A is a "supply" territory and territory B is directly linked to it and territory C is linked to B, C can still have armies deployed in it. This can go on for unlimited distance as long as it traces…

  16. Playoff series setting in tournaments

    Making it possible to set victories in a best-of-3, or -5, or -7 series. The first player winning a defined number of times getting to the next bracket.
    Good thing is : it should be easy to implement. So why waiting ?.. ^^

  17. Allow players to share vision

    This idea would give players the option to share vision with one or more other players in a multi-team/FFA game. This would help temporary allies co-ordinate attacks and information.

  18. Filter orders by player and/or type (posted on WL forums)

    It would be really nice if there was a drop down in the orders window to filter by player. The default would be your orders, but you could also view teammates. That saves a couple steps (you can get there another way), but the big reason for this is under history...

    If this drop down was there while viewing history, you could filter by person and just see what that person did in a given turn. The default would be all players of course, with all players being available. But, this would be a HUGE time saver in large FFA's…

  19. Hosting a teaching game

    The host of the teaching game plays either all players (mostly 2) or can asign a student who makes the moves. The students moves could be seen by everybody watching and the host and can be discussed while the game progresses.
    There should be a spectator team, with people who can see the same thing the student does. The host could setup the fog regarding.

  20. Tournament Host Powers

    I know there's a lot of ideas out there that make up parts of this entire idea, but I believe this is a coherent grouping of them, with added ideas tacked on.

    Reason for this idea: The Game Host has shown improvements and added powers, but the Tournament Host has not, and this stagnation of improvements have made tournament hosting quite difficult.

    Powers of the Tournament Host to be given through settings and allowed for the player to check:

    1. To boot players, even if not deemed inactive by the settings themselves. (Disorderly conduct, dishonorable plays, etc.)
