  1. Allow customizing fog visibility distance

    this feature allows you can make the fog settings like, 'territories that can be reached in 1 or 2 turns are fully visible, but all others are completely fogged.' this will be {2, 2} fog. ({a, b} fog is territories that can be reached in or less than a turns are fully visible, and territories that can be reached in or less than b turns only shows the owner. territories that cannot be reached in b turns are completly fogged. light fog will be {1, ∞}.)

  2. MAPS: Support SVG-Embedded Images for amazing backgrounds

    Currently there is SVG-Limitation (http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/SVG_Limitations) - Warlight doesn't support embedded JPG/PNG's onto maps.

    Implementing this would allow map developers to embed beautiful backgrounds for their maps (while territories and bonuses would be created current vector shapes).

    Map backgrounds created this way could decrease size of many maps, since JPG compression can be very effective.

  3. Change team during game

    It would be an interesting option to allow players to change team during the game.

    There can be an option whether changes happen instantly or by voting.

    Of course at least one player has to remain in every team.

    after you get booted you could view your AI's orders like how you can view teammate's orders.

  6. reinforcement card # of armies determined at time played

    I would like to see the reinforcement card where the # of armies it will provides is determined at the time it is played instead of the time it is earned. When the setting is # of armies based on # of turns or # of territories, the card can be held and it will appreicate if not used. This does away with part of the luck as to when it is earned and gives an incenitve to hold it for tactical use.

  7. Suggestion about gift card

    When you use a gift card, you can see the list of players to gift to.
    It would be nice to split that list by teams and place my team at the top of the list.
    This little modification could minimize the risk of wrong gift.

    I have a new mode like multi-day and real-time, its called "true-war", in this mode you will have no teams but rather at first it will start out as an FFA then you can invite people to your alliance, if the player does accept then you can help each or by sending troops also you have to buy cards to use them by in game money, you get money by giving tax to the territory you control like in the map "earth" if you control the middle east and you can establish tax if the tax is too high then…

  10. Flanking Bonus

    Flanking bonus: if a territory is attacked from more than one adjacent territory, then the attacking territory(ies) (excluding the one with the most soldiers) get(s) a temporary kill rate boost.
    If all of them have the same amount of soldiers, then a random one doesn't get the boost (this would be the army attacking head on).

  11. extra lives ( to avoid early booting)

    Within the settings of each game the user will be able to allocate all players extra lives. Extra lives allow players to exceed the direct boot time but not the Autoboot time.

    It works in this way:
    e.g.
    Game settings: 2 min direct boot and 5 min autoboot - 1 extra life to each player
    Player A exceeds the 2 mins for the 1st move - automatically he uses his extra life and cannot be booted until autoboot.
    Player A exceeds 2 mins again and now all players can boot him from 2 mins onwards or wait for autoboot.

  12. Allowing Open Seats for Testing Games

    Every map maker has the problem when they want to create a real-time test game. But because you can only invite people to play in Multipayer, you can't co-ordinate a real-time game. Allowing open seats in test games would change this. You could test the map, find out what you wanted to know and change the map immediately, straight afterwards without having to wait multiple days to test it.
    To distinguish the Test games from other Open Games, their Game Name could be highlighted Green with TESTING GAME written by the side.

  13. Show more new maps on dashboard

    Currently the dashboard shows the two most recently added maps. With the amount of maps which are created lately, that means some new maps will be in the spotlight for a very short period.
    By simply placing the name of the map and its creator below the thumbnail (which only takes about 20 vertical pixels), there'd easily be room to showcase the four or maybe even five most recent maps.

    A related suggestion (for which zing103 deserves the credit) would be to use one or two of the new slots to showcase a random map, either on daily rotation or…

  14. Negative turn timer

    When the timer runs out it turns red as normal, but begins to count into the negative this allows players to keep track of how far over the manual turn timer the lagging play is.

  15. Do you have a game that you add armies at the end of your move?

    Rearm AFTER move? Before is not strategy... Just find the weakests piont and attack that. Great game format. Only strategy is keep wearing down oppenents untill someone #$%@'s up. Arm after move....STRATEGY! Turns a 2 hour game to a 12 hour game till you mess up. No fun getting beat down... And up...And down...ECT... NEW FRENCH RULES! Add armies after turn. Not before. Great format for game. Stupid rules...Strategy?

  16. Move centerpoint with its respective path when modifying already-uploaded .svg files

    When you upload a .svg to Warlight and determine the centerpoints of the territories, the centerpoint will stay at the same spot even if the territory is moved. This is frustrating when using maps with tiny territories because it is a very painstaking process to realign every point after resizing or moving parts of the map.

  17. Tag team army

    Two players play in the same army and may select the same territories. If they both command on the same territory and there aren't enough to go around, in the game options it can either split it equally or randomly select one. They both earn and use cards separately (if selected in game options), and order priority/delay count against each other (and overcome double selected territories).

  18. Player selected wastelands

    At the beginning of the game, players select their territories they want, but also select wastelands. They can be distributed similar to starting territories, but in red.

  19. Show maxium possible income for other players

    In the player dialog under Income the minimal income from what you see is shown. It would be nice to additionally see the maximum possible income for each player. Then for each player you would have the possible range of their income.

    This should be fairly easy to compute since every not observed country would just need to be given to the player and then his income can be computed.

  20. Revive option in Gift card

    There should be an option to revive an eliminated player back to the game.
    The gift card customization would be perfect for this option to allow or disallow this feature.
